NOMAD is a home exchange platform, not a rental service like Airbnb. Instead of booking stays, members exchange their homes with others in curated groups tailored to their listing and location preferences. Our focus is on fostering community and building relationships through shared travel experiences.
Absolutely not! Our mission is to make work and travel inclusive and affordable. We do not engage in lengthy membership selection processes and we do not charge annual fees. All customers who complete, and pass, our home registration and background check screenings are eligible to list their home on our site.
NOMAD is in a unique market of its own. NOMAD combines Airbnbs one-way stay mechanism with exchange privileges at an affordable cost.
We understand that unexpected changes can happen! If you need to end your stay early, you can do so at any time. A notification will be sent to your Travel Group host to keep them informed.
You can leave your Travel Group at any time throughout the duration of your assignment. If you would like to join a new Travel Group, simply submit additional preferred listings.
To prioritize safety and security, we only accept single-dwelling listings, ensuring the entire property is available for your Travel Group. All members must provide documentation verifying that the listed address is registered in their name. Renters are required to upload a copy of their lease agreement and must update it with a lease renewal at the end of the term to keep their listing active.
Each Travel Group host provides an on-the-ground emergency contact to assist members during their stay. In the case of medical emergencies requiring immediate attention, we recommend heading directly to the nearest hospital.
If you encounter any issues during your stay, you can message your Travel Group host directly or contact NOMAD to report the problem. Please provide details about the issue so we can assist you promptly.
We understand that plans can change! If you need to return to your home during a stay, simply submit a request to NOMAD. The Travel Group member staying at your home will be reimbursed the cleaning fee and any service fees for the unused days.
To report any issues during your stay, please contact NOMAD directly. We also encourage customers to share honest reviews about their experiences. Members with the most positive reviews and ratings are more likely to be selected for Travel Group assignments.

Timeshares involve a significant capital commitment and limit stays to one property. Home sharing, on the other hand, offers access to multiple properties with no down payment required! We curate home exchange groups tailored to your needs, providing an affordable and flexible solution for the frequent traveler.
We charge a transaction fee per Travel Group assignment which is collected at the time of booking your first stay. Additional fees include a per day service fee, a cleaning fee, and optional guest damage protection coverage for hosts. Our stays are highly affordable, averaging just $250 per week.
